Wiwa v. Shell












 


Chief Judge Kimba Wood has rejected Shell's last attempt to dismiss claims that it was complicit in the wrongful execution of Ken Saro-Wiwa and the Ogoni 9 in 1995 in Nigeria.   Paul Hoffman will be one of the lead trial lawyers in the case.  The trial is set to begin on May 26, 2009, before Judge Wood in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.
